Sometimes we at SveKub organise our own competitions, but often there is another organiser too, for example a cuber who wants a competition in their home town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone can organize competitions. It's fun and rewarding, and as an organizer you choose how much time and energy you want to put in. We'll help you with everything you don't want to or can't do yourself!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On this page we've put together some resources to help you get started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Venue<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The most important responsibility for an organizer is the venue. Perhaps you have been to a few competitions, and know of a venue near you that would be suitable? A first step then is to find out what the venue costs to hire, sometimes this is available on the venue's website, and sometimes you need to contact the venue and ask.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A good venue should have:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A large open floor space (a guideline is at least about 5 m<sup>2<\/sup> per competitor)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plenty of tables and chairs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access to parking and public transport<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preferably a microphone and speakers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For competitions lasting more than one day, it is often appreciated if competitors can sleep in the venue. Please check with the venue if this is possible, and if so what is required from us (for example, you may need to notify the emergency services of how many people will be staying overnight).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Delegate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>F\u00f6r att en t\u00e4vling ska r\u00e4knas som officiell m\u00e5ste reglerna fr\u00e5n World Cube Association (WCA) f\u00f6ljas. En av dessa regler \u00e4r att det ska finnas minst en WCA-delegat p\u00e5 t\u00e4vlingen. I Sverige finns det just nu 8 delegater, Anders Berggren, Daniel Wallin, Viktor Zenk, Helmer Ewert, Leo Lindqvist, Peter Hugosson-Miller, Axel Flordal, och Rasmus H\u00e4nd\u00e9n. Minst en av dessa m\u00e5ste allts\u00e5 kunna komma p\u00e5 t\u00e4vlingen, s\u00e5 det \u00e4r viktigt att du h\u00f6r av dig till oss relativt tidigt i din planering s\u00e5 att ett l\u00e4mpligt datum kan hittas som passar b\u00e5de lokalen, en delegat, dig sj\u00e4lv, och inte krockar med \u00f6vriga t\u00e4vlingar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Budget<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A competition can have quite a high turnover. The registration fees collected should mainly cover the rent of the venue, but also smaller expenses such as transport of equipment and printing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Du som arrang\u00f6r beh\u00f6ver dock inte riskera dina egna pengar. Vi siktar alltid p\u00e5 att varje t\u00e4vling ska g\u00e5 lite plus, s\u00e5 att ny utrustning med mera kontinuerligt kan k\u00f6pas in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>F\u00f6r att detta ska g\u00e4lla ska varje t\u00e4vling ha en budget som godk\u00e4nns av oss. Den beh\u00f6ver inte vara avancerad, men den visar att du r\u00e4knat p\u00e5 int\u00e4kterna och utgifterna, och att det g\u00e5r ihop. Anv\u00e4nd g\u00e4rna v\u00e5r mall (se nedan) och fyll i uppgifterna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Schedule<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Competitions can look very different. Sometimes they are several days with all 17 events and several rounds in each, and sometimes they are just one day with a few events. You can use our template for creating a schedule (see below). It is a good tool to calculate how long each round will take.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course, here too you do as much as you can and want to. It can be anything from you making the whole schedule yourself, to just suggesting which events to include and us making the schedule. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Resources and templates<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In this Google Drive folder, we have gathered resources to help you plan, such as schedule and budget templates.
